Auszeichnung 

Ende 2011 erhielt Professor Dr. Tino F. Schwarz von der international renommierten Fachzeitschrift „Vaccine“ (Impakt Faktor 3,467) eine Urkunde, mit der ihm und den Co-Autoren für eine im Jahr 2009 publizierte Arbeit gratuliert wurde. Der Beitrag gehörte zu den im Jahr 2009 meist zitiertesten Publikationen der Zeitschrift „Vaccine“. Die Publikationen finden Sie hier.


In dieser Studie, die im Herbst 2004 begann und 2014 endete, wurden die ersten Ergebnisse zur Immunogenität und Verträglichkeit des Impfstoffs gegen humane Papillomviren (Gebärmutterhalskrebs) bei Mädchen und Frauen im Alter 15-55 Jahren untersucht.
Die Ergebnisse der Studie zeigten, dass die Impfung  in allen Altersklassen zu einer sehr guten Immunantwort führte. Die Verträglichkeit des Impfstoffs war unproblematisch. Im Jahr 2007 erfolgte die weltweite Zulassung dieses Impfstoffs, durch den sich zukünftig die Häufigkeit von bösartigen Tumoren im Anogenitalbereich von Frauen erheblich reduzieren lassen wird.
